Background
Megan completed a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Deakin University in 2014 and subsequently worked across several settings, both in public mental health and private practice.
Megan began her career working for the Department of Education in Victoria, engaging with primary and secondary school aged children for assessment, therapy, group programs and applications for funding. It was here that Megan developed an interest in helping parents to support their children from the early years of parenting.
Megan then spent 5 years at an Area Mental Health Service in Melbourne, working with adults and their families. She continued to reflect on ways in which she could support people in earlier stages of life to improve the mental health trajectory of new parents, babies and young children.
Through her experience in these settings, and being touched by the devastating impact of perinatal loss and birth trauma in some of her clients, Megan developed a passion for supporting people from pre-conception through pregnancy and birth, to around three years postpartum. To this end, Megan has dedicated her professional development to perinatal mental health and early parenting.
